SciDyn announces DebitCall and Web Administration
features for Call Control Solutions Features

previewed at the 20th Annual American Jail Association
Training Conference & Expo in Columbus, Ohio

Cherry Hill, NJ—(April 23, 2001)—Science Dynamics Corporation “SciDyn” (NASDAQ: SIDY), a leading developer of Internet Protocol based (IP) telephony solutions and services, announced today the pre-release availability of DebitCall and Web based administration features on its third generation of call control solutions. The enhanced functionality is being previewed at the American Jail Association’s 20th Annual Training Conference & Expo, April 21st - 24th, 2001 in Columbus, Ohio.

SciDyn’s DebitCall feature introduces a stand-alone and blended utility that allows both Debit and Collect calling to be configured based on the call type: Local, IntraLATA, InterLATA and International. DebitCall leverages SciDyn’s call rating technology which has demonstrated years of proven reliability in the industry. Using this new model, service providers can ensure all international calls are pre-paid while allowing domestic calls to be draw down on an account balance before switching to collect calling. Therefore, calls should never be denied and billing options are always available to the service provider.

In addition to DebitCall, SciDyn’s release of WebAdmin provides an HTML-based compliment to the proven AdminManager application. The application provides system administrators the ability to manage personal identification numbers, telephone number databases and perform call detail record searches. WebAdmin provides remote access to single and multi-site installations while maintaining full multi-layered security.

“These features will be available on both our Commander I (8 to 24 lines) and Commander II (24 to 96+ lines) solutions,” said Joe Giegerich, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “The combination of debit calling, complete web based administration and previously announced VoIP technology position our Call Control Solutions as the obvious choice for all small, large and networked configurations.”

SciDyn’s third generation of Call Control Solutions follows the previous Collect Call Timing Device introduced in 1986 and current Commander models that serve more than 7,000 lines or 70,000 inmate beds nationwide. The System operates on SciDyn’s BubbleLINK® software architecture and offers the latest security and call control features to effectively manage inmate telephone calls. Standard features include a wide array of editable call control parameters, advanced call monitoring, real-time call recording and SciDyn’s patented 3-way call fraud detection featuring 36 tunable parameters that test the call path end-to-end.
