SciDyn and Mercury Corporation Sign Korean
Distribution Agreement to Deliver
Video Conferencing over Frame Relay and ATM

CHERRY HILL, N.J., June 4, 2002 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Dynamics Corporation (SciDyn), a leading developer and supplier of advanced telecommunications products and applications, announced an exclusive distribution agreement with Mercury Corporation of Seoul, Korea, for the VFX-250S device which transports multipoint video conferencing over Frame Relay and ATM networks.

“At a time when video conferencing has become such an essential means of communication, we are extremely pleased to have this opportunity with Mercury to provide a cost-effective solution,” stated Alan C. Bashforth, President of SciDyn.  “This method of video conferencing enables users to combine video with voice and data requirements over a converged network, thus providing a substantial cost savings and increased functionality.”

The flexibility of the VFX allows Mercury, a Korean based company, to offer a wide variety of previously unattainable configurations, incorporating technologies from multiple access equipment providers across both Frame Relay and ATM networks.  The ability to integrate voice, video and data communications over Frame Relay and ATM reinforces Mercury’s commitment to becoming a leading total solution provider.

“Recently, public institutions have begun using ATM networks for leased line and high speed Internet services.  For connecting their existing video conferencing systems to these networks, they need a conversion device such as VFX-250S.  We will supply Korea Telecom with the VFX-250S to provide video conferencing with their ATM service,” stated Mr. C. K. Hahn, Managing Director of Mercury Corporation.
