Science Dynamics Corporation Names New Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Cherry Hill, NJ — (October 17, 2000) --Science Dynamics Corporation (Nasdaq:SIDY), a leading developer of Internet Protocol-based (IP) telephony solutions and services, announced the appointment of Joseph A. Giegerich as vice president, Sales and Marketing effective immediately.

Commenting on the appointment, Joy Hartman, president and CEO of Science Dynamics stated, "We are extremely pleased about the addition of Joe to the team at SciDyn. He is a seasoned professional with strong demonstrated expertise and experience in the areas of business development and sales, that can be leveraged here at SciDyn as we continue to focus on increased sales efforts and the strengthening of our business as we move forward."

In his new role at SciDyn, Giegerich will be responsible for formulating SciDyn’s worldwide sales and marketing strategies , and will oversee the efforts of the company’s newly expanded sales force. He will report directly to Joy Hartman.

Prior to joining SciDyn, Giegerich was vice president, Sales with iFace.com, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Rare Medium Group, where he facilitated new business development in the New Media, Internet, VoIP, and Telecommunications marketplaces. Before joining iFace.com, Giegerich served as director, Key Accounts with Philips Speech Processing, a business unit of Royal Philips Electronics, N.V., where he was responsible for the direct management of $40 million in key strategic channel relationships. He has over a decade of experience working in the Telecommunications industry, and from 1991 to 1998 served as Director, OEM Accounts with Boston Communications Group, where he was responsible for product development and introduction, as well as market and sales strategies. Giegerich holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Rutgers University.
